One of the underlying principles I follow
and promote in my practice is that we are what we eat. Based on that here are 4
food changes that may help you to be healthier.
- Organic foods are safer, and healthier, than non-organic foods, for the simple fact that you are consuming fewer toxins.
- If you can only afford to buy some foods organic, make it organic grass-fed meats and butter. This will cut down on your exposure to toxic pesticides, hormones, and antibiotics
- Changing pasteurized dairy products, such as milk and butter, for organic, raw varieties will allow you to reap the true benefits of dairy
- Soda drinks tops the list of foods that cause obesity and other health problems. Changing them for pure filtered water and/or mineral water can be one of the most effective health changes you could possibly make.Your best bet is to filter your tap water. About 40 percent of bottled water is regular tap water, which may or may not have received any additional treatment, and the plastic bottles only add to the health hazards.
